Dear Sir,

The garlic supplementation is mentioned for its usefulness in many medical disorders including to cardiovascular diseases and malignancies. [1] Focusing on the effect of garlic supplementation on platelet, it is reported for increasing platelet count in animal models. [2] On the other hand, the ajoene in garlic is mentioned for its opposite activity, antithrombotic activity. [3] The effect on a human is still controversial, and if it was used in human cases, the careful consideration is required. Here, the authors report the observed platelet count in a lung cancer patient after lobectomy for 3 years, without any other cancer therapy, who have garlic supplementation. The data of platelet count in this case before and after the garlic supplementation therapy is shown in [Table 1]. Here, the effect of garlic supplementation on platelet count can be seen. A significant reduction of platelet count can be seen, and this confirms the nature of antithrombotic activity. This can be useful in cancerous patient who has the trend to develop thrombosis.
